Deep Drawing of Tin Sheets: Hydraulic Down Holder Control (BHDR)

The challenge of quick control of strong forces has initiated the development of a specific hydro-electric automatic control system. With this device in hydraulic presses the steering of the force in a predefined dependence on the propagation becomes possible. At the car manufacturer Audi the system has been retrofitted to work with 5 headpresses (400 to 1800 tons) in everyday production. - A mechanical press was equipped at Hoesch. Due to the high speed control it worked up to 30 cycles per minute.

The equipment is installed at Audi, BMW, and Hoesch.
